Gionee lauched a new smartphone called Gionee Elife E7 Mini in india for a price of Rs 18999. It is now available to but in Indian market. This smartphone is a sibling of the previously released Elife E7. Elife E7 only supports single SIM but the new mini version has dual SIM capability (GSM+GSM).
Specifications of Gionee Elife E7 Mini
Display: This device sports a 4.7 inch IPS IGZO capacitive display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution (312 ppi).
Processing & Performance: The device performance is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 CPU. Graphics intensive applications and games can be easily picked up by Mali-450MP4 GPU. 1GB RAM is somewhat low considering other specification and price.
Camera: The main highlight of this handset is a different type of camera fit on the device. It is a rotating 13 MP camera with 360 degree rotation capability. It could take pictures upto 4160 x 3120 pixels resolution along with the joy of autofocus and LED flash. Also it is capable of taking 1080p full HD videos.
Memory capacity: The mobile has got 16 GB internal memory. It’s important to note that there’s no option for expanding storage since no micro SD card slot.
Battery: It is a 2200mAh non removable battery. The retailer specs listing says it is capable of giving 18 hours of talktime on 2G and 14 hours on 3G.
Android Version: The phone currently runs on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), but it will soon get the Kitkat update.
Dimensions & weight: 39.8 x 66.2 x 8.6 mm (5.50 x 2.61 x 0.34 in) and the device weighs 143 grams.
Impact on the Indian Market: There are many competitors for this phone in this segment like Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which has expandable memory option, more RAM (1.5 GB) and more powerful battery (2600 mAh). But the new features like rotating camera and the joy of octa-core will be a great advantage for E7 mini.
