If you’re looking for android smartphones with a quad core processor for an affordable price, checkout the new Gionee Ctrl V5. The device is not yet officially launched but it is available to purchase at the company’s estore for Rs. 12,999. Gionee the Chinese smartphone manufacturer had launched the CTRL V4 on June last year and the successor comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor for a lower price that the presently available smartphones in the market.
There is nothing in this phone that we could say attractive when considering the specifications and price. Going through the specifications of the CTRL V5, this device is built with 4.7-inch (960 ×540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen display which is comparatively lower quality display than Moto G. The device holds the dual SIM capability (GSM + GSM) with dual standby support.

- 2MP front camera
- 1GB RAM

As the features of this phone reveals, there’s nothing special about this phone and for 13k, the device seems over priced. As we take the display quality and built quality into account I ‘ll not recommend this phone over similar priced mobiles like Motorola Moto G. Even all Chinese manufacturers care to put a higher capacity battery in their devices, Gionee fails on this part too. The 1800 mAh battery does not seem competitive.
