As per the studies, very large part of internet users are browsing through mobile phones. Wikipedia foundation expects about 60 million new users from India by giving this zero roll out. Customers of aircel can access Wikipedia website in English, Hindi and other 18 major Indian languages.

The mobile users can access two websites

  1. m.wikipedia.org which is the mobile version of Wikipedia
  2. zero.wikipedia.org , text only version of the mobile site ideal for slow connections

The new move from these two companies will benefit themselves as well as vast amount of internet users as they can explore the largest information and knowledge storage without being charged. The contract of the two companies is valid for three years.
